As you know, I love sermon jams. Sermon jams are where sermonic highlight meets background music. Sermon jams are excellent for the gym, excellent for personal devotion, excellent to share with other listeners less likely to listen to entire sermons, and overall just an excellent way to reach the lost and share the faith.
One of my favorites is by Relevant Revolution. They took a Ravi Zacharias message and created the jam, Christ as Lord. We say ‘Well done!’

I’m in the group of churches that actually “dialogued” to make his visit happen. It’s a group that’s (usually) “explicity” orthodox on the surface, but implicitly not…and once inside not; it’s wholly adopted Purpose-Driven, Marketing, Pragmatism, and has shallow doctrine as a point of policy since to go deeper would mean having to throw-out certain teachers; it’s adopting mysticism and “Spiritual Formation/Disciplines”/”Contemplative Spirituality”; thus any associations with it I’m wary of…and what remains of my association with it is an attempt to speak-up and hopefully warn those I was in fellowship with. Certain men want to “dialogue” with groups with another gospel and Christ rather than contend for the faith…and this is contrary to the commands not even to greet them or let them in your house. Tell them the truth, yes…but deny telling that little girl the truth makes me very angry: he’s a guest on the entire planet…not just the Mormon “tabernacle”, and to excuse himself from proclaiming the truth was an abominable act.

If you have any more information about Ravi I would appreciate it. I wrote that post sometime ago, and I have to admit that I really enjoy Ravi’s debating skills, especially in this post-modern world that we live in. But I do have concerns about its — as you put it — shallow doctrine.
Please feel free to add to the comments. Clearly from reading all the comments Ravi is a very respected debater and has a wonderful style that is enjoyable to read and listen to.

i do agree that when Ravi debates he does not produce a truckload of doctrine,
BUT
he does his job well and that is what he is supposed to be doing.
tell me, who did Jesus speak doctrine to?
those who already beleived, to strengthen their faith or to the pharicees to show them their religious hypocricy.
those who did not beleive yet, Jesus worked in other ways.
plus 1 corinthians 12 says we all have different Jobs to do we are all different parts of the same body. and if you dont beleive that ravi is in the same body as you , i would seriously consider listening to any of His sermons, for nonw can say Jesus is Lord without the holy spirit (1 corinthians 12:3)
i sincerely reccomend that you stop looking at the work others do, and their faults and failures, and look to Jesus and His finished work.
when i look around at others and what they do for God , i can easily see failures and stuff, which make me annoyed.
BUT
look to Jesus and you will not see shortfalls.
you will see the one you are working for, and the one who gives you your instructions.
im not attacking you, but humbly asking you to re consider that ravi is not the example, but rather a tiny cell in the great body of the body ocf Christ.
ravi is not sufficient in Himself to do the whole job, but he is doing his bit.
find your place in the body and work there as hard as you can keeping your eyes only on Jesus.

Who am I? My name is Tony Reinkebut call me “chief of sinners.” For 22-years I hid from God in self-righteous religious ‘faithfulness’ until my stubborn heart was subdued by God’s sovereign grace (Eph. 2). In one moment, after a sermon by Paige Patterson in Lincoln, NE on Luke 18:9-14, I perceived the Gospel as the great exchange, and by God’s grace I released my self-righteousness to cling to the saving righteousness of Jesus Christ. That day I recognized I was a sinner playing the part of the Pharisee. It was the day I was reborn. Now nothing is more precious than knowing Christ — the God-man who died for me and gave me His righteousness in place of my sinfulness (Phil. 3:7-9). Pursuing further up and further into the Cross has become the center of my life and this blog is intended as a place to share this pursuit.
Educationally, I graduated from Bellevue University in Omaha, NE with a degree in Liberal Arts. Theologically, I’m an autodidact under the wise direction of a local church. I’ve been married for 10 years to my best friend, Karalee (a more gifted writer and blogger than myself) and we have three precious kids, a majority of whom are named after dead preachers. Princeton Cemetery. I don’t know how I did it, but in the Spring of 2006 I convinced my wife and kids it would be fun to spend the day at Princeton cemetery. Princeton is famous for its school and less famous for its rich evangelical history. I took several photographs at Princeton Cemetery (where Edwards, Hodge, Warfield and the Alexanders are buried). These photos always remind me to be Cross-centered.
